No membrane, no problem
Jun/090
So, the great membrane search is over. The good people at the IWK hospital didn’t find it, but they were the bearers of better news, including the sex of the babies!
A membrane, A membrane, my Kingdom for a Membrane.

So we’re leaving for Halifax again on Thursday morning and we have another appointment for an ultrasound on Friday morning. The two main points of this visit are 1) find the membrane! 2) find out the sex of the babies.
Finding a membrane would make the pregnancy much less of a risk, and would ease most worries about cord entaglement or twin-twin transfusion syndrome, which can happen in rare cases.
Sailing season to get underway
Jun/090
So, it’s that time of year again and I am really looking forward to the sailing season. While I may only get in half a season this year, it’s still going to be a lot of fun!
So, we’re having twins! with a catch
Jun/093
A couple of months ago, myself and Amanda found out we were pregnant again, which is fantastic news for us. Liam (our son) is also extremely happy. Two weeks ago, the pregnancy got a little more exciting: Twins. Identical twins.
Today, we found out that the twins are “MoMo twins”. “MoMo twins” is short for Monochorionic Monoamniotic Twins. MoMo twins are the rarest form of twins. In short, this just became a very high risk pregnancy, the highest possible risk for twins.
