A membrane, A membrane, my Kingdom for a Membrane.
Jun/091
So we’re leaving for Halifax again on Thursday morning and we have another appointment for an ultrasound on Friday morning. The two main points of this visit are 1) find the membrane! 2) find out the sex of the babies.
Finding a membrane would make the pregnancy much less of a risk, and would ease most worries about cord entaglement or twin-twin transfusion syndrome, which can happen in rare cases.
We’re not holding our breath with regards to the membrane, we’re almost to the point where we just figure one won’t be found. There’s always that slight chance, though, so we’ll go in with at least two fingers crossed.
Think ‘membraney thoughts’!
With regards to the sex of the babies, most “MoMo twins” are girls, which means we’ll probably have boys! We have Liam, so a couple of girls would be good, he’ll be able to take care of them and beat up future prospective boyfriends.
Mandy is feeling fantastic this week so that’s a really good sign for the future.
More posts to come after the weekend.
