No membrane, no problem
Jun/090
So, the great membrane search is over. The good people at the IWK hospital didn’t find it, but they were the bearers of better news, including the sex of the babies!
Our appointment was this passed Friday and the main goal was to find a membrane (see here). The door on finding a membrane was officially closed without finding it, so we now know what we’re up against. Our doctor was much more enthusiastic about our chances this time around, which is a good thing. The twins are quite big, which means less chance of them throwing a party in there and getting all tangled up.
We did find out, also, what the sex is and it looks like we’ll be having identical twin girls. I figure I have around 12-14 years to pick out a nice rocking chair and matching shotgun to sit out on the deck with and scare the local 12-14 year old boys. That, and we have Liam. He is raring to go on the protective stuff!
We have another appointment next week and then pretty much every 1-2 weeks for the next 3 months. The date of their birth will be October 8th.
